Ingredients for dough:

  • Flour 750 g
  • Yeast 2 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Oil ¼ cup

Ingredients for filling:

  • Mince 1 kg
  • Onion (Chopped) 2
  • Ginger Garlic 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder 2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 1 tsp
  • Allspice Powder 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice 2 tbsp
  • Green Chilies (Chopped) 4
  • Coriander leaves (Chopped) ½ cup
  • Oil ¼ cup

Ingredients for Topping:

  • Eggs (Beaten) 4
  • Clarified Butter (Unmelted) 6 tbsp
  • Salt ½ tsp

Method for Dough:

  • Knead all the ingredients together with lukewarm water into a soft dough.Leave to rise for 1 hour.

Method for Mince:

  • Heat oil and fry onion until soft.Add ginger garlic with all the seasonings and mince. Cover and cook until dry. Add chopped greens.


  • Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl to assemble.Take a large 10 inch square tin or a round pie plate. Put 3 to 4 tbsp of egg and ghee mixture. Divide the dough into 3 parts. Roll one part to quarter inch thick and spread on the pan. Spread half of your prepared mince, and add 4 to 5 tbsp of egg and ghee mixture over the mince. Roll the second dough and spread it over the mince.Add 2 to 3 tbsp topping over the dough and then the mince. Once again, add the egg and ghee topping on the mince. Roll the third part of the dough and spread it over the mince. Pinch the edges. Put your remaining egg topping on it. Bake on 200 C for 35 to 45 minutes. Serve hot.
